KINETA

Kineta is a close to Athens seaside resort, surrounded by pine trees and it is a beloved destination of Athenians for their summer vacations or even for daily escapes to the beach. In Kineta there are two main beaches (which are connected by foot) , in which there are several beach bars, restaurants and cafes. In the Old National road from Athens to Corinth which goes through Kineta you can find several grocery stores, bakeries, grill houses and convenient stores. Agioi Theodoroi is the nearby town, about 9 min driving. You can find a nice boardwalk with a lot of choices in restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, banks etc.

ATHENS

Although there are plenty of things to see and do in Athens, with the right planning you can have a pretty good taste of the Greek capital in one day. Athens city center is walkable. Arrive at Acropolis Metro station and head to the hill, where the entrance of the Acropolis is located ( the adult ticket costs 20 euros). If you feel like it, after your visit in Acropolis you can visit the newly built and awarded Acropolis Museum (5 euros entrance). You can then feel free to get lost on Plaka and Anafiotika, the picturesque neighbourhood below the Acropolis hill, built from islanders about 2 centuries ago. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops in this area, mostly touristic. Head to Monastiraki, Athens Flea Market, which is full of bars and traditional taverns.Follow Ermou street, the main commercial street of Athens. If you feel like having an afternoon cocktail, turn left until you find Kolokotroni street, where Athens most hip bars are. Finally head to the Syntagma square where the Greek parliament stands to see the change of guards. Please feel free to ask us for more tips!

HYDRA- POROS- EGINA CRUISE

Another wonderful idea is to go on a one day cruise to the Saronic gulf. Everyday there are cruises to Hydra, Poros and Aegina from Piraeus port. Lunch is served on board and you have plenty of time to enjoy all these historic islands.

ANCIENT CORINTH- CORINTH CANAL

Corith is only a 25 min drive from Kineta. Ancient greek and Roman monuments blend naturally together. It is the place where Apostole Paul spread the word of Christianity as is described on Corinthians speech. The temples and the Roman agora of this ancient city are astonishing and the archeological museum totally worth it.
